Winter Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

Next date: Saturday, 16 July 2022 | 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Winter is the best time to prune deciduous fruit trees to enhance production and/or restructure the tree.

Join expert horticulturalist Justin Calverley for our winter fruit tree pruning workshop and learn how to best care for your fruit trees for health and to maximise your yield for next season. Pruning your fruit trees is also an important action for Queensland Fruit Fly management.

This workshop will combine both the theory of why and what we winter prune with demonstrations in the orchard.

Bring your gardening gloves, a hat, a rain coat and a pair of sharp clean secateurs and loppers.
