Gelli-Printing for Teens

Gelli-printing.png

Hosted by Jo from the Diamond Valley Arts Society who has been doing art all their life, you will be introduced to the wonderful and exhilarating world of Gelli-printing!

For Children aged between 10-15 years old.

Gelli-printing is a modern, fun, very easy, portable and creative way to make colourful and fascinating prints without the need of a heavy, expensive printing press.  Most tools and utensils required are easy to use, obtain or make.  It is a very flexible process as you can use any type of paper to make the prints and is a great way to recycle paper and cardboard.

We will be offering two single introductory sessions that will show you the basic processes, and give an opportunity to practise these skills. It is a very individual style and there are many ways to achieve beautiful, interesting  prints.  The final pieces can be later used to make cards, wrapping paper, collages and in mixed media.

The Fee is $50 per person for the three hour session.

During this time, participants will have access to a gelli-pad, brayers, acrylic paints, a variety of papers, mask/ghosting items and mark making products.

All tools, paint and paper will be provided.

The two individual sessions on the following dates

  • Tuesday 2nd April 10am - 1pm
  • Friday 5th April , 10am - 1pm

Each participant will need to bring an apron/shirt to protect their clothes from the paint.  They will be able to take their prints home.

It you are interested in coming to a session, please contact Jo Seymour at admin@dvartsociety.com.au for more details.

Parents are not required to stay with the participants.
