Junior Farmers

An opportunity for children aged between 8 and 12 years of age to assist the farmers with some of our morning or afternoon animal chores.

Activities may include:

  • Letting out and feeding the chickens
  • Changing the chicken's water and cleaning the paths
  • Feeding the sheep
  • Feeding the goats and alpacas
  • Helping to milk a goat
  • Cleaning the paddocks
  • Making compost and feeding the worms
  • Brushing the ponies or the goats

Cost: $15 per child

Facilitator: Edendale Farmers

Parents and caregivers do not need to stay with the group and can leave them to do the animal chores but must remain nearby and contactable by phone on site. Parents must not leave children unattended at the site.
