The festive season is upon us, a time for joy, connection, and … mountains of waste! This workshop aims to show you how to celebrate in a way that's kind to the planet, without sacrificing the spirit of the holidays.

Join us to learn lots of fun, creative, and achievable ways we can enjoy a more sustainable festive season.

We'll discover the power of the circular economy for reducing Christmas waste and building Christmas cheer. And find ways to ditch the disposable and embrace the delightful instead, through choosing reusable gift wrapping, minimising food waste, and crafting heartfelt gifts.

We'll even explore some alternative traditions that celebrate the spark of festive joy without incurring the environmental footprint.

This session will leave you feeling inspired, empowered, and ready to make your festive celebrations about connection and fun rather than the size of the present.

Topics include:

  • DIY gift wrapping and decorations
  • reducing food waste
  • baking, making and creating gifts
  • choosing reusable over disposable or single-use items
  • alternatives to traditional festive practices

Who is it for?

The session is suited to anyone interested in reducing the amount of money, packaging, and resources they spend over the holiday period. It’s also for those wanting to learn hands-on skills for making their own gifts and decorations.
