Opportunities for Young People (Youth ages 12 - 25)

At Edendale Community Environment Farm there are loads of opportunities for all ages, including for young people (“youth”) - ages 12 to 25.

Edendale exists for our community and to champion environmental and sustainable examples, information, practices, and solutions.

Hans, our Youth Engagement Officer, works part time (mainly Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Feel free to drop past and say hello and explore what is on offer.

On this page you’ll find information and links to a range of programs and activities, including:

  • The newly formed Edendale Youth Environment Team – a weekly program, after school, for ages 12 to 15
  • Volunteer opportunities for 15 years +
  • Information on Work Experience placements for secondary and tertiary students
  • Links to Nillumbik Youth web pages and other great local & regional programs & info for young people
  • Plus, you can visit and explore the farm for free at any time between 10am and 4.30pm. There are plenty of free self-directed activities to enjoy, animals to visit and gardens to wander at your own pace
  • or drop in and have a chat with Hans our Youth Engagement Officer on Tuesday and Wednesdays!
