Diamond Valley Art Society

The Diamond Valley Art Society (DVAS) is proud to operate from our stunning heritage Homestead building.

With over 50 years of community-led engagement, DVAS is dedicated to fostering creativity in the region. In collaboration with Edendale, they offer a variety of workshops, exhibitions, classes, and artistic activities.

DVAS hosts art classes and activities in the Homestead and throughout the farm, including creative school holiday programs. Current offerings include Life Drawing sessions every Monday evening and Friendship Mixed Media groups in both the afternoon and evening - see below for more details.

With a focus on accessibility, DVAS aims to expand their membership and provide a diverse range of programs for Edendale visitors and the wider community. If you’re interested in joining or learning more, they would love to hear from you!

2024 classes

Creative Groups - Painting & Mixed Media

Tuesday 12.30pm to 3pm
Thursday 2.30pm to 5.30pm
Thursday 7.30pm to 10pm

A variety of groups and times which will give you the opportunity to work in a shared space in the beautiful Homestead.

Bring along a project you have been working on or just come along, meet the group and see how you can be inspired to start creating.

Life Drawing Group - with Lynton

Monday evenings 6pm to 9pm

The Diamond Valley Arts Society life drawing group meets on most Monday evenings and occasionally on other weekdays.

The sessions are untutored and take place in a friendly, relaxing environment within the delightful surrounds of Edendale Farm. The sessions begin with short warm-up poses and progress through to longer ones.

We have excellent, professional models. Participants really enjoy the sessions, engaging in their artistic pursuits and joining in the warm social atmosphere. It’s a wonderful way to end the week!
