With warmer weather arriving, snakes are becoming more active at Edendale Farm and also around other areas in Nillumbik. Snakes are a natural part of our environment and play an important role in keeping local ecosystems healthy. At Edendale, the species most commonly seen are Tiger Snakes and, occasionally, Eastern Brown Snakes.

Remember, snakes will avoid people if given the opportunity. By giving them space and respecting their role in our environment, we can safely coexist with these important native animals.
