Sunflower hidden disabilities

Edendale is proud to be part of the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, helping to create a more inclusive and welcoming experience for people with non-visible disabilities, conditions and chronic illnesses.

The Sunflower is a voluntary symbol that people with hidden disabilities can choose to wear to discreetly indicate they may need additional support, understanding, time or space. Wearing the Sunflower does not require a person to disclose their disability.

Edendale staff have completed Hidden Disabilities Sunflower training to build awareness and confidence in recognising the Sunflower and responding respectfully.

By taking part in the program, Edendale continues its commitment to creating services and spaces that are inclusive, accessible and welcoming for everyone.
