This Workshop is part of Nillumbik Council's Open Farm Day at Edendale

Richard from Edendale Farm will introduce you to the world of bathtub worm farming.  A worm farm is a great way to reuse a bathtub from a renovation that may otherwise go to landfill. These worm farms have a larger capacity than the standard black plastic tower farms and maybe suitable to a larger family or property owner with lots of organic waste like horse or livestock manure.

From a bathtub worm farm you still get the wonderfully worm castings and worm tea which are great organic soil conditioners for your soil helping your produce gardens to be more productive.

Parking Info

While there is some parking available at the front of Edendale we would encourage you to investigate some more sustainable transport options including:

  • Riding your bike (free voucher for 1 indigenous plant for every bike parked - enter from the rear entrance)
  • Public Transport
  • Walking
  • Car pooling

Some overflow parking may be available at Eltham North playground
