Fungi Town is rolling into Edendale this September. This joyful, colourful art space on wheels will entice you into a fascination for the beauty, diversity and role of fungi. Artist Kathy Holowko will swing open the doors of the caravan to reveal an intricate diorama of the forest floor to explore, with fungi as the star attraction. Alongside the Fungi Town caravan there will be mushrooms and books to explore, and also a chance to make your very own mushroom sculptures to take home.
The Fungi Town art experience celebrates the wonderful world of fungi and creates the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the network of entanglements in the eco-systems that we are a part of, through creativity and knowledge sharing. The life cycle of mushrooms is a very special example of the cyclic systems that our world operates under and this is a great chance to become fascinated by fungi.
Fungi Town will be at Edendale Farm from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 25th September and Thursday 26th September.
As the farm can be very busy over the school holidays, please allow plenty of time to find a carpark and make your way into Edendale.
If our parking lot is full, you can find additional parking at the Eltham North Adventure Playground. Follow the bike path for an easy (accessible) 5-minute walk and you will arrive at our North Entrance gate. See attached map.
There is no cost and no bookings required.
