Summer Fun at Edendale

Come and join in our fun water themed activities on offer at Edendale over the last two weeks of the summer holidays.
Edendale is situated on the Diamond Creek and recently there have been several sightings of platypus nearby. Pop into Edendale reception and learn all about the platypus and the importance of healthy waterways. Take a pledge to contribute to looking after the platypus environment. Note – there are no live platypus as part of this display.
Take a leisurely stroll around the site enjoying the different activities at the various locations.
Free daily activities (9.30am to 4.30pm)
Edendale Quest – Water Riddles
How good are you at riddles? Find all ten locations marked with an ‘X’ on the map and see if you can solve the water related riddles.
Water Eye Spy
An activity for the younger child. Take a clipboard and a sheet and see if they can find all the water related items around the farm.
Edendale Dectective Trail
Help Detective Eden follow the instructions, solve the clues and the Secret Code Words and see if you can earn a Collector Card.
Water Quality display in reception
Learn about water quality and how you can help look after the environment and encourage platypus back into the creek. Your child can enjoy the hands on activities.

Free activities at set times
Each week day, depending on the weather, these free activities will provide an opportunity for
- 9.30am – watch a goat being milked
- 10am – sheep feeding
- 11am - guinea pig patting

NEW – Mini farmers
Children aged between 5 and 8 years can assist the Edendale Farmers with the morning farm chores (parent/guardian to be in attendance)

Sensory Friendly Farm Tour
Join the farmers for a tour around the farm, in a small, sensory friendly sized group tailored to suit children on the Autism Spectrum. Sponsored by Eltham Paediatrics.
