Local food

Food swaps

A food swap is a low cost way of obtaining a variety of fresh, locally grown (often organic) food and meeting like-minded people. Garden tips, seeds and recipes are often exchanged and friends made.

Edendale Food Swap has moved to the new Eltham Farmers Market in the Eltham Town Mall, Arthur St, on the fourth Sunday of each month at 10am.

No money changes hands. It is all about re-distributing excess and keeping the fresh food supply chain as local and low cost as possible.

There are several local regular markets selling a diverse range of local produce:

St Andrews Market

Hurstbridge Farmers Market
