Join us as a grower and supply some produce for the wonderful Home Harvest Picnic 2020 to be held on Sunday 1 March 2020 3.30 pm  – 7pm at Edendale Farm in Eltham.

Grower Registration

Register to grow and supply the produce for the Home Harvest Picnic

Spend the summer growing the produce and in the week leading up to the Picnic donate some in return for your tickets!

Attend the Picnic on 1 March and enjoy a great relaxing afternoon of home grown food, community stalls, music, family activities and time with fellow local growers.

No matter your level of experience or how green your thumbs are, everyone is invited to take part and get growing.

Getting started

If you are new to growing the The Home Harvest booklet(PDF, 4MB) - how to grow your own delicious fresh food is a great tool. For a hard copy contact Edendale Farm, edendale@nillumbik.vic.gov.au or 9433 3711

As a grower you will receive regular updates including advice and guidance and will be invited to take part in community events and workshops.

And finally – don’t panic!

Don’t let the fear of having a bad season in your garden put you off registering as a Grower. If, come Picnic time, you are unable to donate the amount of produce you planned it will be ok and will be balanced out by the generous donations of growers who have a great season. And, if you end up with no produce there are other ways you can contribute to the Picnic such as with your time to help us set up and tidy away.

Harvest Month

As a grower you will also receive exclusive details on workshops, food swaps and special events taking place. The full program is being coordinated by Local Food Connect will be available on the Local Food Connect website early 2020
