Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a highly contagious animal disease that affects cloven hoofed animals such as cattle, sheep, goats and pigs.

In May 2022, an outbreak of the virus was reported in cattle in Indonesia. The risk to Australia remains low¸ but FMD can spread through close contact between animals and be carried on animal products or contaminated clothing.

If you have recently arrived from Indonesia, or visited farms and/or farm animals in South East Asia, please ensure all clothing and shoes have been thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated before entering our farm.

Thank you for taking these precautions to keep our animals safe and healthy.
