Work experience

Every year we accept a limited number of work experience students and applications are always welcome. Potential students will need to be interested in animals, sustainable living practices and environmental education and be aged at least 15 at the time of the work experience.

Students need to download the Work Experience Application Form on this page and consult their school Work Experience Coordinator in regard to dates.

Email your completed application as an attachment or hand deliver/post to:

Work Experience Officer
Edendale
30 Gastons Rd, Eltham 3095

Please be aware that we have limited placements and that most schools tend to do work experience at the same time so not everyone’s application will be successful.

Students will have more chance of securing a position if they can be flexible with the dates.

Work experience lasts for one week and students will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of animal chores, learn about sustainable farming and living practices, indigenous plant propagation, garden bed maintenance and general community education duties.

There may be an opportunity to observe one of the pre-school or school programs. Have a look at the rest of our website for an overview of what happens at Edendale.
